Information
Vincent Couche cultivates 13 hectares of vineyards in the Côte des Bars, following biodynamic techniques. The property converted officially in 2008 and this wine grower, in his quest for maturity and the full expression of his terroirs, produces unusual and intriguing wines. There is quite a variation in the terroir. His Chardonnay is planted on 3 hectares of chalky soil with a fully south-facing aspect in Montugueux. In Buxeuil, 10 hectares of Pinot Noir grow on clay, marl and calcareous soil. Vincent Couche tantalises the taste buds with mouthwatering, sulphite-free cuvées with beautiful fruity notes, remarkable maturity and an astonishingly fresh quality!
Faithful to his biodynamic principles, Vincent Couche has produced an attractive cuvée without sulphur, the result of a blend of (mainly) Pinot Noir with some Chardonnay. The grapes are grown on the soils of Buxeuil and Montgueux, then vinified in barrels. The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation with native yeasts, and is not dosed. On the nose, this wine expresses intense aromas of candied fruit and patisserie. Unsurprisingly, then, the palate is generous, reflecting the beautiful maturity of the grapes.
