Information
The wines produced by the Domaine de la Grange de l’Oncle Charles stem from complantation and organic and biodynamic viticulture methods. They display atypical profiles, standing out completely from the traditional style of Alsatian vineyards. La Danse des Corbeaux is one of those clever blends that only Jérôme François, who has been at the helm of the estate since 2014, has the secret too.
The bunches of Riesling, Sylvaner and Gewurztraminer grapes all thrive on the same hillside environment, in marl soils in the commune of Riquewihr. They ferment together and the resulting wine is aged for a year on its lees in barrels that have contained several wines.
The unique identity of this wine is reflected in its surprisingly generous aromatic range. Citrus fruits and tropical fruits dominate, accentuating a powerful, extremely fresh and mineral palate. The long finish is rounded off by a light saline touch that gently envelops the tip of the tongue.
