Information
Originally from Tuscany, Pietro Caciorgna has worked as an oenologist for several large Italian estates over the years. He still consults today alongside producing his own wines from Tuscany and Sicily.
In Tuscany, his 2.3 hectares of vines are planted on his family's farm which his parents created in 1953 and now covers 20 hectares. The polyculture grows sweetcorn, sunflowers and animal feed as well as organic Sangiovese vines. Pietro crafts aromatic and delicate wines in the DOC Macchie Terre di Casole Sangiovese.
In 2006, he discovered Sicily’s terroirs around Mount Etna and fell in love, buying a half-hectare plot of one hundred year old Nerello vines, followed by two further plots.
All in all, he offers a range of six wines, three from Tuscany and three from Sicily with each one reflecting the terroirs they come from.
