Information
Maison le Nid in Moulin-à-Vent was created at the beginning of the 20th century. This property stayed in the Lardet family until 2012. The 6-hectare vineyard is divided into 12 parcels and is cultivated according to sustainable methods.
This cuvée is produced from a parcel of 60-year-old vines that are responsibly farmed. Each parcel is vinified separately in stainless-steel vats. The wine is then raised in new oak barrels for 14 months. This confers lightly toasted notes (toast, cinnamon, vanilla) to the black fruit aromas. The wine is fleshy and supple on the palate, with the natural acidity of Gamay lending further complexity to this wine that would amply reward a few years of aging.
