Information
The Jobard family has been producing wine in Meursault for many generations. In 1993, Rémi Jobard took over from his father Charles (he had already made his first vintage in 1991). The vineyard has been organic since 2005, certified since 2011 (conversion started in 2008). Rémi Jobard is a very talented winemaker, making delicate, smooth and supple Meursaults, which age with class and whose élevage is always neatly carried out. This area is one of the best of the appellation.
The grapes are sorted by hand by a team of the domain’s seasoned pickers to ensure a selection of the highest quality. Depending on the harvest, the pressurising of the grapes can be shorter or longer. The fermentation is gradual and the élevage lasts for a year in casks and six months in vats. It is yellow in colour with bright hints. The nose carries notes of jasmine and flint, complemented by slightly smoked aromas that announces a charming palate. The attack is lively and evolves towards a certain roundness with buttery notes, all of which is balanced by citrus aromas and a fresh, persistent finish.
