Information
Located between Uzès and Sommières, surrounded by scrubland, Mas d'Espanet has been run by Denys and Agnès Armand since 1980. The abandoned domain needed considerable work to maintain the old vines, producing local red varietals and plantations of white grapes chosen for their emotional appeal – and for the terroir, of course. In 1999, a winery was built for vinifying the grapes from this 20-hectare vineyard, which is both organically and biodynamically certified.
A beautiful golden hue, enticing aromas of citrus fruit, white flowers, stone fruit and spices, the fresh palate makes this wine perfect with apéritif or grilled fish. Eolienne owes its name to Grenache blanc, Picpoul and Viognier which grow around a wine turbine or eolienne. They have been vinified in 50hl foudres on their lees and aged for 12 months in foudres.
