About the producer

Olivier and Corinne Merlin took over the Domaine du Vieux Saint-Sorlin a la Roche-Vineuse in 1987, renaming it. They gradually enlarged the vineyard which today has 10 hectares on many appellations such as Pouilly Fuissé, Saint-Véran and Viré-Clessé. In the vineyards, the work is done following the rules of organic farming (without certification), with the use of ploughing and uncultivated land for certain parcels. Both the red and white wines of this domaine are of a very high quality.

About the wine

Viré-Clessé has aromas of exotic fruits and nutmeg. Its palate is particularly well balanced, with a good density and richness and great persistence. This wine pairs particularly well with fish dishes.
