About the producer

Amrut was founded in Bangalore in 1948 by Shri J.N. Radhakrishna under the name Amrut Laboratories. The distillery initially produced “Indian-made liquor”, foreign spirits such as rum, brandy and, from the 1980s, whisky, all produced in India. The current distillery was built in 1987 and its first single malt launched in Glasgow in 2004 after several years of experimentation.

About the wine

To mark the tenth anniversary of the first release of Amrut Fusion, in 2021, the Indian distillery released this special edition Amrut Fusion X, in which the single malt was matured for four years in Pedro Ximenez casks and bottled in a porcelain bottle illustrated with a picture of Neelakanta Rao R Jagdale, the distillery’’s former CEO. A limited edition of 1,010 bottles.
