Lot presentation
Blanc de Noirs Les Crayères Vieilles vignes Egly-Ouriet
The wine
Without a doubt, Les Grandes Crayères is the jewel in this property's crown. The region’s typical chalky soils give this rare cuvée a remarkably fresh and refined quality. Pinot Noir, from old vines planted in 1946, makes for a complexity and richness which is expressed through intense aromas. The wine is vinified in barrels for one year, avoiding malolactic fermentation, and then matured in the cellar for six years before release onto the market. Low dosage allows this champagne to express its minerality, length and volume freely.
