Saint-Aubin 1er Cru La Chatenière Marc Colin & Fils 2012
The wine
To make this Saint-Aubin premier cru, the domain opted for harvests carried out by hand as well as maturation in oak barrels. La Chatenière possesses a profile that is nicely balanced between the generosity of ripe fruit, a beautiful minerality, power, and an airy texture. This wine will keep for 4 to 5 years in the cellar, and will perfectly accompany dishes like seafood in sauce.
About the Producer Marc Colin
Of the many Colins in Burgundy, Domaine Marc Colin is perhaps the most famous. This Saint-Aubin farm has asserted its reputation thanks to his high-flying whites. The domaine has an impressive collection of terroirs in Chassagne and several works of the mythical Montrachet. It is now his children who are at the head of the domaine: Caroline, Damien and Joseph. The quest for precision and accuracy is impressive, whether in the vineyard, during vinification or in the élevage. The red wines are also of a very high quality. A location which is not-to-be-missed in the Côte de Beaune.
