Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru (Morgeot) Tête du Clos Vincent Dancer 2011
The wine
Chassagne-Montrachet Morgeot Tête du Clos has a complex, expressive nose with aromas of lemon and flint, as well as buttery, brioche and white flower notes. On the palate it has a great mineral quality, aromas of citrus fruit (lemons and grapefruit) and the whole effect is one of freshness but also of a fat body with a long, lemony finish. It pairs very nicely with shellfish.
About the Producer Vincent Dancer
Vincent Dancer cultivates 6 hectares of land across Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet, Meursault, Pommard and Beaune, family vines that he took up in 1996 after his oenology training. He got things going on his own at the family property, where he went on to build a winery in 1997. Since 2012, his vines have had organic certification. Vincent Dancer has shown himself to be talented and creative in his work, particularly succeeding in the maturation of his cuvées. His wines are remarkable, characterised by their purity and finesse.
