Vin de France Voila Valentin Vallés 2017
The wine
This red wine is made by the talented producer Valentin Valles. With 7 years’ experience alongside Eric Pfifferling (Domaine de l’Anglore), this producer cultivates 6 hectares of vines organically and biodynamically. Saint Quentin La Poterie is few kilometres west of Tavel, and the terroir is rich in sand and silica.
The Voilà cuvée is a single-varietal Syrah. Vinification involves little intervention, with no additives used aside from a small amount of sulphur during bottling. The juice ferments using wild yeasts, and the wine matured in old, acacia casks.
The style of this wine has the mark of its producer with a hint of Anglore: juicy and lively with exceptional flavour. On the nose, we get waves of crushed, red fruit and a hint of spice. It is light on the palate with elegant tannins. This cuvée can be kept for 3-5 years.
