Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru Pavelot (Domaine) 1995
The wine
Domaine Pavelot's Corton-Charlemagne grand cru is an attractive wine with a good balance between roundness and freshness; a wine with great potential. It has a highly refined bouquet, with aromas of white flowers, linden and spices. The palate is fairly full bodied, with excellent richness and a certain vivacity, a discreet woodiness and light citrus notes.
About the Producer Pavelot
The Pavelot family has been present in Pernand-Vergelesses since at least the 17th century and their domaine has grown over time and generations. Today, Luc and Lise Pavelot have taken over from their father Régis. Their 9-hectare vineyard is certified organic and shared between Pernand-Vergelesses and Aloxe-Corton. This is a really interesting area, with particularly charming wine, that also maintains reasonable prices.
