Information
Situated near Beaune, the estate prides itself on meticulously cultivating the unique terroir of Mercurey. In addition to the ideal south-east exposure, the soils, mainly consisting of chalky marl, provide all the nutrients required for the Pinot Noir grapes to thrive. After the harvest, the grapes are transported to the winery where they are vinified in a gentle, traditional fashion, with as little intervention as possible. The cuvée is aged for several months before being bottled.
The purple colour promises an incredible bouquet of great intensity. The nose is indeed characterised by intense, expressive aromas of red and black fruit. The rich, concentrated mouthfeel is perfectly balanced by a great freshness leading to a deliciously long finish. This cuvée can be enjoyed young, and will reveal its delicious aromas with several years of cellaring.
