Information
The Mercurey appellation nestles at the heart of the Côte Châlonnaise, between the villages of Givry and Rully. While it has no Grand Crus, it does offer a wide variety of Premier Crus that reflect the diversity of terroirs in this renowned appellation. Located at an altitude of around 250 metres, the Chardonnay vines grow on crystalline soils covered with sandstone. In the winery, the harvested grapes are vinified in the purest Burgundian tradition, with as little intervention as possible. The winemaking process culminates in a long ageing period before bottling.
The pale, slightly shiny gold colour reveals a delicate nose, offering a perfect balance between fragrances of white flowers and notes of white peaches. On the palate, the clean attack reveals luscious fruit aromas leading to a fresh, flavoursome finish. This cuvée promises exceptional ageing potential.
