Information
The Californian wine-growing landscape of the Santa Rita Hills is home to an array of terroirs, each richer and more emblematic than the last. The Bloom’s Field parcel, cultivated exclusively with organic methods, is one of the jewels in the crown of this coastal estate. The iron- and schist-laden clay loam soils provide an ideal base for the Pinot Noir vines to develop their remarkable depth and legendary delicacy. Once in the winery, the grapes ferment naturally using native yeasts. The cuvée is also aged for several months in oak casks before being bottled.
The ruddy-red colour reveals an exuberant nose combining ripe red fruit with subtle notes of pepper and cranberry. Rich and elegant on the palate, with a beautiful minerality leading to a delicious, concentrated persistent finish. This cuvée can be enjoyed young, and will reveal its full potential following several years of cellaring.
