Information
This estate situated in Chassagne-Montrachet has a rich history, with the first traces of the family-run operation dating back to 1820. Taken over by the Jouard brothers in 1990, the estate focuses on its appellation, unveiling all its most secret qualities and making a name for itself. With almost 12 hectares of vines, the estate produces one white Grand Cru, eight white Premier Cru and two red Premier Cru wines. Convinced of the benefits of organic methods on the vines and the wines, the brothers cultivate each plot according to organic viticultural principles. Chemical fertilisers and weedkillers have been banned and tilling is meticulously conducted. The winemakers constantly reassess their viticulture and vinification methods to produce ever healthier, well-balanced cuvées. This rigour allows them to produce exceptional wines, which perfectly reflect all the flavours of a renowned appellation.
