Information
This vineyard, spanning 170 years, was founded by Pierre Pavelot and his brother in 1860, when they acquired less than one hectare of Charlemagne vines. Over the years, the estate has grown steadily and now totals almost eight hectares of vines thriving on eleven emblematic appellations. Converted to sustainable viticulture 23 years ago, the estate is now run by Claire and her brother Pierre Chapuis, the sixth generation of winegrowers. Convinced that paying attention to the smallest details on their vines is the secret to producing premium quality raw materials, the winegrowers attentively nurture each plot. Each vine thrives in a peaceful atmosphere and enjoys a balanced biodiversity. The vineyard holds the French Haute Valeur Environnementale (High Environmental Value) certification. After manual harvests, the grapes undergo traditional, low-intervention vinification. The estate produces outstanding Burgundy wines which are a genuine reflection of the region.
