Information
Bodega Noemia’s vineyards are nestled in the heart of Argentina’s Rio Negro Valley. This idyllic landscape, through which the river of the same name flows, is largely responsible for the unique personality of the estate’s vines. The J. Albert cuvée, a tribute to the bodega’s founder, is produced from four hectares of vines nearing sixty years in age, 95% of which are Malbec and 5% Merlot, a blend which is also present in the bottle. A unique and distinctive characteristic of this estate’s wines is the irrigation, performed four times a year following a traditional method designed to extract the maximum benefit from the waters of the Rio Negro, rich in nutrients and of impeccable purity: the soul of the valley.
From this terroir, ideal for viticulture, Bodega Noemia produces a superb wine, enhanced by a frank expression stemming from organic and biodynamic practices. It’s aged in French oak casks for eight months, producing an intense wine. The Malbec expresses itself through a racy, powerful bouquet with hints of cherry, plum and blackcurrant. The touch of Merlot softens the tannins and adds a delicious velvetiness. Subtle hints of pepper and vanilla round off a rich tasting experience.
