Information
Although not associated with any specific distillery, the Ezra Brooks brand was for a long time produced at the Hoffman distillery in Lawrenceburg, renamed Old Commonwealth by Julien Van Winkle III in 1983. Ezra Brooks went down in history for copying the bottle, label and even slogan from Jack Daniel’s, resulting in a famous court case.
An Ezra Brooks 15 Year Old bottled in the late 1970s. It was produced at the Medley distillery, which had owned the brand since the Hoffman distillery ceased production in the 1970s. It was produced here until the early 1990s. Ezra Brooks is now distilled and bottled at Heaven Hill by the Luxco group.
