About the producer
Invergordon is one of very few grain distilleries in the north of Scotland, near the port. Traditionally, this type of distillery is more likely to be found in the Lowlands due to supply and logistics considerations. Invergordon began operations in 1961, two years after Invergordon Distillers was founded, in a period when Scotch whisky was becoming more popular, particularly in North America. The distillery was bought by Whyte & Mackay in 1993.
About the wine
An Invergordon 10 year old imported to France in the early 1980s. This edition was launched in 1990 and discontinued a few years later.
