    About the producer

On 29 May 2001 Bruichladdich began producing Port Charlotte, a whisky peated to 40 ppm. Port Charlotte is now available in a wide range of versions, offering different age statements, casks and barley sources - all accompanying the distillery's other bottlings, Bruichladdich and Octomore.

    About the wine

A Port Charlotte 9 year old distilled in 2010 and bottled for the Cask Exploration range. As the name implies, this range explores the attributes of the various casks used at Port Charlotte. This edition was matured in bourbon, Syrah, sweet wine and Oloroso hogshead casks.
