Information
The 2.4 hectares of vines that grew the grapes for this cuvée have recently been acquired by the domain, which is in the process of converting them to be organic and biodynamic. Vigano, a Comtois horse, helps with the work by stopping the soil from being compact. At over sixty years old, the goblet-shaped vines are harvested by hand. Then, the grapes are chilled for 24 to 48 hours before they are transferred to concrete vats for the winemaking process. This is started by the natural yeasts present in the grape skins and in the cellar, allowing the grape’s flavours to be preserved. No additives are used, not even sulphur. A natural wine, partly aged in demi-muids (600-litre barrels) and in vats, which produces a fruity and very enjoyable Régnié. The nose is marked by small red fruits and a few spices which, on the palate, becomes a light, very easy drinking cuvée. A wine to be enjoyed with friends, either now or after keeping in the cellar for up to 10 years.
