On 29 May 2001 Bruichladdich began producing Port Charlotte, a whisky peated to 40 ppm. Port Charlotte is now available in a wide range of versions, offering different age statements, casks and barley sources - all accompanying the distillery's other bottlings, Bruichladdich and Octomore.

A single cask Port Charlotte (#1053) distilled in 2004 and bottled in 2018 for the Spirits Shop Collection, matured in a Château d’’Yquem cask. The Spirits Shop Selection was founded in Taiwan in 2014 by Dong Fang Ming, initially in partnership with the German bottler Sansibar, then independently. The Spirits Shop Collection is designed to be a melting pot of cultures and bottles whisky and rum under Asian-styled labels. A limited edition of 305 bottles.
