Information
At the beginning of the 19th century, John Lewis Brown decided to have an English-style castle built in Bordeaux, one of the Médoc's most original domains. The vines cover 48 hectares, and then there are 20 hectares of parkland, a veritable nature reserve for the wildlife wishing to settle there. Since 2019, the property has belonged to the Le Lous family. The three grape varieties grown here are Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc, mainly planted in Cantenac where the soil is composed of chalk and clay. In the vines, the work is meticulous and environmentally friendly, with ploughing and composting. The vines are pruned and thinned out before a debudding that ensures the best maturity for the grapes. They are picked by hand, with a careful sorting process before fermentation in stainless steel vats. The wine is matured in barrels.
