Information
This cuvée is a single-varietal Grenache from Clos des Grillons, a domain that covers 18 hectares. The grapes are harvested by hand from vines with an average age of 50 years. There are 14 different varietals grown here! Certified organic since 2020, Clos des Grillons in the southern Rhône is run by Nicolas Renaud.
Nicolas vinifies his grapes naturally with very little intervention. This cuvée is matured in cone-shaped vats.
In the glass, this wine has a light, cherry-red colour. It has a nose of red fruits and toasted bread. On the palate, aromas of chocolate, cherry, and gentle spices can all be enjoyed. Its beautiful mouthfeel features delicate tannins for an overall light sensation. Its finish is marked by a certain bitterness that brings a freshness to the cuvée.
