About the wine
The Merlot vines used to craft this cuvée are grown at the foot of the Piccadilly Valley, facing the east. Here, the soil is rich in red clay on sandstone.
Harvesting happens early for this parcel. Once taken to the winery, the bunches are destemmed before fermentation.
In the glass we get notes of red fruit like cherry and raspberry, as well as some riper notes and a hit of cacao. It is quite powerful but remains balanced.
The producer’s methods are inspired by organics, though he is not yet certified.
