Information
Domaine des Malandes in Chablis was created in 1986 by Lyne and Jean-Bernard Marchive. The vineyard spans 27 hectares; the vineyard is managed sustainably, with grass growing between rows and green harvesting. Lyne has been helped by the enologist Guénolé Breteaudeau (formerly at Château Long-Depquit) since 2006. The wines have come a long way in recent years, becoming much more refined and precise.
Situated in Chablis, Domaine des Malandes here crafts a Chablis premier pale yellow in colour that, over time, will develop a golden hue. This is a generous wine with an aromatic bouquet of white fruit, citrus zest, butter, hazelnut, and brioche. On the palate it has a strong minerality that lifts the supple texture. Persistent, this cuvée can be enjoyed with flavourful dishes like poultry in sauce, mussels, or lobster. Wait at least five years before opening this bottle; it can be aged for around ten years.
