Information
Marie and Pierre Benetière are at the helm on this tiny Rhône domain. But quality in no way correlates to quantity here. Inspired by a sensitive philosophy of viticulture (eschewing pesticides and herbicides), they produce a small quantity of white and red wine which exhibit a rare purity and elegance.
Riollement is a variety of Viognier here crafted by Marie and Pierre Benetière in the Rhône. The vines are cultivated in a dry and pebbly soil that enjoys a sunny location. Once vinified, this cuvée shows itself to be loyal to the Viognier varietal’s aromatic reputation. It gives of intense, floral notes of violet, jasmine, and honeysuckle, as well as hints of fleshy fruit like apricot and peach, alongside a touch of citrus. Flavourful on the palate, it has a mellow texture and a fruity persistence. This profile invites pairings with dishes like goats’ cheese or a salmon and asparagus gratin. This cuvée can be enjoyed straight away as it is best in its youth.
