Information
A winemaker at the top of his game, Christophe Cordier crafts top-drawer Pouilly-Fuissé. Juliette La Grande is a rare cuvée produced from vines that give very low yields of just about 8 hectolitres/hectare. Only 800 bottles are produced every year. The grapes are harvested by hand, with meticulous sorting. After gentle pressing, the juice is transfered into barrels by gravity. After natural fermentations, the wine is matured in 350-litre casks for 12 months, followed by another 12 months in stainless-steel vats. Elevage on lees confers greater character and texture to the wine. Bottling is also done by gravity, without fining and with very light filtration. When tasting, this Pouilly-Fuissé reveals stunning complexity and finesse. You’ll find a saline minerality and fantastic tension balanced by a pleasant fatty texture. This gastronomic wine is made for aging and can easily be cellared for five to ten years.
