About the producer

Domaine Jean Macle was founded in 1850. Laurent Macle manages the 12 hectares of elevated vineyard today that is laid out to Chardonnay and Savignin in the Côtes-du-Jura and Château-Chalon appellations. This domain is well-known in the Jura and its beautifully balanced vins jaunes are iconic.

About the wine

The Jura Macvin is a regional speciality. To craft it, Domaine Jean Mâcle blended the must of unfermented grapes with eau de vie de marc. Made to be aged, it has a beautiful golden colour, an extremely complex aromatic bouquet (bitter orange, citrus zest, currants, star of anise, gentle spices), and a perfect balance of intensity, sweetness and lively acidity.
