Information
A true nature lover, Arnaud Lambert manages his domain using methods which are extremely respectful of nature. So, he converted his domain to organic agriculture and subsequently to biodynamic agriculture. Arnaud Lambert inherited this domain from his father Yves who created it in 1996. He returned to the domain at the age of 47 to learn the art of wine making and take up the reins.
Today there are 15 hectares of vines in St-Cyr-en-Bourg and 15 hectares in Brézé. Embracing his vintner vocation in 2005, Arnaud Lambert has begun to stand out, producing wines reputed for their finesse, purity, and precision.
This is a top pick for the Bettane+Desseauve Guide who placed this domain in their Top 100 producers of 2019. Their review begins with the words ‘Arnaud Lambert is one of the Loire's most talented wine makers'…We'll say no more, except that this domain is becoming a regional reference, so you'd do well to taste its superb cuvées!
Cultivated through organic and biodynamic methods, the Clos Mazurique has become one of the benchmarks of the Arnaud Lambert estate in Saumur. The Cabernet Franc is manually harvested and vinified in stainless steel and concrete tanks to preserve all the brightness of the fruit. Clos Mazurique reveals itself in an exceptionally fresh and delicious style. The wine is characterised by lingering red fruit notes that evolve into hints of pepper.
Delightful in its youth, this wine can be cellared for five to six years without any trouble. Fancy some ideas for food and wine pairings? For a perfect match, serve it alongside beef carpaccio or turbot poached in red butter.
