Information
Since 1580, the Beyer family have built up a very good reputation. Situated in the village of Eguisheim, south of Colmar, the 14th generation of the Beyer family currently manages this estate that spans 17 hectares and boasts two grands crus. The variety of soils and terroirs is preserved thanks to biodynamic viticulture. The aromatic purity of the grapes is conserved through gentle anaerobic vinifications. The wines are compelling, with plenty of concentration. Perfect for ageing or pairing with fine food.
Cultivated on the slopes of Eguisheim, the Riesling grapes reap the rewards of their Mediterranean microclimate, resulting in a wine with rich notes of stone fruit and lemon zest. A lovely minerality confers liveliness, balance and persistence. Made for short cellaring, to accompany Mediterranean dishes such as scallops or poultry with preserved lemons.
