Information
The origins of the mythical Château de Meursault go back to the 11th century. Today, this domaine extends over 60 hectares of vines of Volnay, Beaune, Pommard, Aloxe Corton, Savigny-lès-Beaune, Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet, with many premier and grand crus. it has been owned by the Halley family since 2012.
Located in the north of the appellation, this Puligny-Montrachet is characterised by poor, stony soil. The domain owns several ares of land here, with its vines producing low yields. As always, harvesting is performed by hand, and the grapes are gently pressed to obtain only the best juice. The wine is then matured for 15 months in new barrique barrels. This lends the wine great complexity and generosity, perfectly complementing the refinement and elegance provided by its mineral terroir. In its best vintages, it can easily be kept for ten years.
