About the producer

The history of Château Gobelsburg, situated in the region of Kamptal to the west of Vienna, goes back to the 12th century. It has belonged to Cistercian monks from Zwettl Abbey since the 13th century, with Michael and Eva Moosbrugger in charge (since 1996). The vineyard is spread over 39 hectares in Kamptal and Kremstal, planted with Grüner Veltliner (50%), Riesling (25%) for whites and 25% red grape varieties: Blauburgunder (10%), Saint Laurent (7%), Zweigelt (5%) and Merlot (3%).

About the wine

This Riesling reveals aromas of ripe apricot, peach, and orange blossom and a powerful, juicy, fruity palate. It marries well white white meats and seafood.
