About the producer
Domain Lucien Crochet is a family domain that has been handed down from generation to generation. Lucien Crochet combined his father's domain with that of his wife's father, Lucien Picard, who was in fact one of the first in the Sancerre region to bottle his own wines. The vineyard spans 38 hectares: 29 of Sauvignon and 9 of Pinot Noir. One of the appellation's flagship names.
About the wine
Cul de Beaujeu reveals an aromatic bouquet of fresh grapes and hints of spice and vanilla. Good fatness and freshness in the mouth, with pear and citrus flavours emerging on the palate. A good long finish with plenty of minerality.
