Information
Christian Venier has been in Cheverny in the province of Touraine since 1988 and comes from a long-line of winegrowers; he is the cousin of Thierry and Jean-Marie Puzelat from Clos du Tue-Boeuf. His vineyard is small, measuring just 8 hectares, planted with old vines and is worked according to biodynamic practice: yields are typically small, no synthetic products are used and soil health is paramount. In the cellar the winemaking is natural, using no inputs in line with non-interventionist methods; the extractions are gentle, geared towards the quest for greater juice purity, a silky texture and a fruity freshness. The wines from this domaine are particularly enjoyed for their perfect expression of the terroir and their good drinkability. This well-kept secret won't remain unknown for long..
This organically-cultivated Cheverny wine is blended from Chardonnay and Sauvignon. Citrus and white flower notes are prominent on the nose and its light texture is enhanced by fresh acidity and an exquisite, bitter finish.
