Information
The Emilio Moro domaine has been growing vines for three generations and has built up its credentials in the Ribera del Duero on the basis of hard work, dedication and humility. The limestone and clay soils rise to between 750 and 1,000 metres above sea level, giving this wine a potent personality!
Malleolus, which translates from the Latin as "hawthorn", is the name given to the vineyards of Pesquera de Duero. The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels followed by maturation in the same barrels for 18 months. Its aromas suggest candied dark fruits and balsamic notes. After a few years in the cellar it unveils coffee and clove aromas. This powerful and perfectly balanced wine is on a par with Tempranillo.
