Information
Domaine du Murinais has been in the family since 1768 and is run today by Luc Tardy and his wife, Catherine. Together they produce wine from their 17 hectares of vineyard in the Crozes-Hermitage appellation, continuing the ancestral methods practiced by their family and showing great respect for the soil and nature in their care. Harvest is done by hand and the fruit is scrupulously sorted before vinification.
From a terroir of clay, limestone and rolled pebbles, this young Syrah has been vinified in a traditional manner in concrete vats and aged in both concrete vats and demi-muids which hold five wines for one year. This has been done to preserve the freshness of this wine’s fruity aromas. This mouth-watering cuvée par excellence charms us with its fruity and spicy nose, its supple and silky texture, structured by fine tannins. It can be enjoyed when young.
