Information
In 1999, Nicolas Maillet took over the family domaine (which had existed for four generations) following his father who then brought his grapes to the local cooperative. It has doubled its surface area to 7 hectares, 5.4ha of which are Chardonnay on the slopes of the small village of Verzé in Saône-et-Loire, in the heart of the Mâconnais. The vineyard has been certified as organic since 2011. Vinification is essentially done in vats with minimum intervention.
Mâcon-Verzé "Chemin Blanc" is a wine produced from the three oldest parcels (over 75 years old) on the slopes above the village of Verzé. This wine offers good density of substance, but it remains lively and bursting with fruit, with an attractive length in the mouth. A wine for drinking with good food.
