About the producer
This beautiful château in the Côtes-de-Bourg appellation overlooks the Dordogne valley. Its vineyard grows on clay-limestone soils with some gravel to help in draining. It has belonged to the Récapet family since 1924 and spans 26 hectares of respectfully-farmed vines.
About the wine
This former cru bourgeois seduces with its intense ruby colour and its elegant and pronounced nose of black and red fruits. Elevage in wood gives it toasted, spiced notes. The tannins are powerful but soften after a few years in the cellar and the finish is long.
