About the producer

The Paraíso distillery was founded in Sancti Spiritus, Cuba in 1946, a few years before the Cuban Revolution. Little is known about its history and it mainly produces neutral spirit for export. Rum is produced only as a secondary activity. Releases are only found among independent bottlers, often under the name Sancti Spiritus.

About the wine

A single cask bottling from the Sancti Spiritus distillery selected by La Maison du Whisky for its 2019 annual catalogue The Chronicles. It was aged in bourbon casks in a tropical climate for 13 years before being finished for one year in a Selection des Anges Cognac Ferrand cask.
