Information
Domaine Coche-Bizouard domaine is a family domaine created in 1940. Based in Meursault, the domaine encompasses the Pommard, Auxey-Duresses, Monthélie and of course the Meursault appellation. The vineyard is managed traditionally, by working the vines and ploughing without weed killers. The wines are balanced, fresh and fruity. Whilst they are perfectly drinkable when young, it is also interesting to explore their fine aging qualities.
Renowned as one of the best localities in Coche, the Les Chevalières climat is home to some of the finest vines grown on the Côte de Beaune, which the estate turns into exceptional red and white wines. Preserving the nature of the soil and maintaining the land in good health remain the winemaker’s priorities. That’s why he tends his vines following organic farming principles. The vines, on average 40 years old, are also harvested by hand. In the winery, each step is designed to ensure the production of an exceptional wine. To this end, vinification is completed with as little intervention as possible.
The clear, sparkling colour reveals a harmonious bouquet combining scents of lemon and white flowers with delicate notes of marzipan. The seductive and perfectly balanced palate affirms the fresh aromas of the nose while building to a persistent, fruity finish.
