Mondeuse

Mondeuse is a black grape mainly grown in Savoie, though we also find it in Switzerland, Italy (Friuli, Venice), California, Argentina and Australia. Late in maturing, it gives wines that are tonic and structured, with aromas of raspberry, forest fruits and violet, even evolving into truffle after a few years. Many Mondeuse wines also have subtle, peppery notes.
