Meet the rising star from in the Rhône Valley, Elodie Balme. She uses family knowledge passed down through the generations to care for her 25 hectares. A gem and a favourite of ours from the Rasteau appellation.

This young domaine is a star in the making and without doubt a future Rhône icon. As a daughter and granddaughter of winemakers, Elodie Balme grew up amongst the vines. After studying wine business and oenology, Elodie threw herself in the deep end and vinified her first 3.5 hectares in 2006. In 2009 she expanded she expanded further and built a cave.
Today, Elodie cultivates 25 hectares of 40 year old Grenache, Carignan, Mourvèdre, Cinsault, Syrah, Merlot, and Clairette vines in the Rasteau, Roaix and Buisson communes.Certified organic since 2023, Elodie continues to create wines from individual plots with a little intervention as possible during vinification and limited use of sulphur. The wines fruitiness and finesse are bound to charm you.
