Arbois Trousseau Cuvée Les Bérangères Jacques Puffeney 2012
The wine
A jewel of the domain’s reds, this exclusively Trosseau wine has undergone an 18-month élevage in casks, the large volume of which avoids overwhelming the wine with pronounced wood notes. It proffers a bouquet marked by notes of black and red fruits as well as a delicate and mature texture.
About the Producer Jacques Puffeney
Created in 1960 by Jacques Puffeney, the domain spans 6 hectares, spread over a dozen parcels. He farmed Poulsard, Pinot Noir, Trousseau, Chardonnay and Savagnin with meticulous care. Puffeney retired in 2014 and sold 4.25 hectares of the domain to Marquis d'Angerville (Volnay, Burgundy). He kept the rest for himself and one of his nephews.
