Lot presentation
Château Clarke 1982
The wine
This is a charming, very authentic wine as is reflected by its beautiful colour and aromas of red fruit. In a return to tradition, Château Clarke has produced a white wine called "Le Merle Blanc de Clarke" since 1993, which was very popular at the beginning of the 20th century.
About the Producer Château Clarke
Baron Edmond de Rothschild acquired two properties in 1973: Château Malmaison in Moulis and the adjoining Château Clarke. Baron Edmond immediately initiated a substantial investment programme, and resuscitated Château Clarke in the literal sense of the term. A wine of tremendous class is produced as a result of a respect for tradition combined with highly modern vinification and ageing techniques.
