The wine
Pouilly-Vinzelles Vieilles Vignes, made from vines approximately 70 years old, is a really beautiful wine which has great aging potential. Splendid complexity and lovely acidity are what characterise this wine.
About the Producer Valette
Philippe Valette belongs to the third generation of wine growers in charge of the 8.5-hectare family domaine of the Mâconnais coast, producing exclusively white wines. Converted into organic farming in 1992, the domaine pays special attention to soil and vines throughout the year. The wines are neither filtered nor clarified. Philippe Valette likes to take his time, the élevage of his wines is done depending on their maturity, not according to the market. The wines spend 9, 14 or 18 months in barrels and even up to seven years for certain cuvées. Outstanding wines are exceptional, with a finesse and a rare complexity
