Vin de France Clos Lalfert - Baptiste Lalfert 2019
About the Producer Clos Lalfert
An exciting revelation for the Languedoc, Clos Lalfert can boast of its inclusion on some highly-acclaimed tables. And this is for good reason! The wines from this domain are incomparable in their energy and style. Yet the history of Clos Lalfert is quite recent. It was founded in 2007 by Baptiste Lalfert after he received his oenology diploma in Dijon and learnt the tricks of the trade at the Burgundian JM Boillot. He began with less than a hectare of abandoned land where he found old Cinsault and Carignan vines. Baptiste now works with the same terroirs as Grange des Pères and Montcalmès in the famous commune of Aniane. The bad news? The domain is made up of just 5.5 hectares, which explains the high demand for the wines crafted there. Note that the vines are cultivated biodynamically!
