Lot presentation

Coteaux du Languedoc Les Boissières Alain Chabanon (Domaine) 2000

The wine

This cuvée is raised in stainless steel vats for 36 months. The vines are on average 28 years old. This superbly deep Languedoc red is one of the most important signatures in the region. The wine is direct, yet, unlike similar blends from the Rhone, it is richer. Both the nose and the mouth have a palate of ripe fruits.

About the Producer Alain Chabanon

After studying enology, Alain Chabanon settled in Montpeyroux at the end of the 1980s. The vineyard is now spread over about 20 hectares of vines which lie on the communes of Jonquières, St André, Lagamas, St Saturnin and Montpeyroux. The domain has been certified organic since 1992 and biodynamic since 2010. Alain Chabanon produces fine, original wines, with extraordinary aging potential. This domain is one of the jewels of the appellation.
